Being a local company we understand all of the requirements of planning** and building regulation requirements** which is of the utmost importance when it comes to replacing windows in period properties. Our traditional double glazed sash windows are made to measure and will replicate authentic designs down to the smallest of details. With attention like this it makes our new windows indistinguishable from original single glazed designs. The only complaint our customers have is that only they can enjoy the pleasure of the latest design windows as none of their neighbours can tell the difference!!

Made from FSC sourced timbers our windows use sash weights and ropes. (Spiral balances are sometimes used where this is the only suitable option). The windows are hand made to replicate original designs. Window furniture is fitted in either Brass, Chrome or brushed Chrome depending on your preference. The final details of the windows are completed with mouldings and sills for an excellent finish that will add value to any property.

The windows are fitted with a low ‘E’ glass. We use Pilkington ‘K’ with our new windows making sure that they have toughened glass as and where specified. You can have all of the glass toughened or laminated for extra security**. Also available are self cleansing glass, noise reductive glass, the choices are infinite. The windows are then hand painted and finished to your specification. Our company always uses the DULUX weather-shield three stage systems. This comes with an 8 year protection against timber defects.

If there are complications when removing old windows i.e. excessive plaster damage or rotten lintels, this can be taken care of by us**. This is one of the perks of being backed by a construction company.

Once the windows are installed, painted and all of the window furniture is fitted we will then issue you with a guarantee covering workmanship and materials. This is in conjunction with a 10 year insurance backed guarantee provided by Besso Limited – the Glass and Glazing Federation which are backed by a Lloyds of London broker.100% piece of mind. We also have an indemnity policy with the same companies covering deposits on new windows.

Finished examples are readily available for inspection or should we say admiration throughout the City and surrounding areas. Appointments will need to be made for internal viewings. Samples can be provided at your home or at our offices or work shop.

**Planning applications are the responsibility of the client. We can take care of planning applications for you only at your request with an additional cost incurred. Only double glazed windows will be compliant with building regulations, Special permission is required from building control for single glazed windows. (Please follow links on our group website for further information on requirements). Unforeseen extra work may result in extra cost being passed on to the client. Specialist glass requirements need to be noted before orders are placed. Some types of glass can take up to six weeks to order. Different types of glass are priced accordingly.
